About us
Common Ground is born out of a deep love for reggae, dub, and soundsystem culture. Our journey is fueled by a passion for the music that moves us and a commitment to giving back to the culture and the community that has enriched our lives.
The Meaning of Common Ground
For us, “Common Ground” carries three powerful meanings. First and foremost, it represents understanding, love, and unity—values that we carry within us and that we hope to convey with our creations. Secondly, it symbolizes the unique space of soundsystem dances, where artists and crowd share the same floor, embodying a collective experience. Lastly, it pays homage to the common voltage reference in electronic circuits, which connects us to the passion we have for engineering and electronics..
Our History
Common Ground came to life in 2020 with the birth of our first mini soundsystem. However, our focus quickly shifted towards electronics, and we started building our first siren clones, effects, mixers, and began making our first original designs. In 2021, the CB-NJD Dub Siren, a circuit-bent version of the NJD, marked our first custom siren design. A year later, we proudly introduced the Lickshot Dub Siren, our first ever 100% original design. Our latest creation, the VCM Dub Siren, represents a significant leap in design and craftsmanship quality and complexity.
